Make sure your sound’s low-end has that propulsive kick! The D-4 really puts that extra “oomph” in your kick drum, bass amp, and other low instruments thanks to its flat, linear response. With a wide frequency response of 40 Hz – 18 kHz and the ability to handle SPLs in excess of 144 dB, the D4 dynamic instrument microphone is an excellent choice for miking instruments requiring precise, low-frequency reproduction such as large rack toms, floor toms, Cajon, djembe, tympani, Leslie bottom, bass flute, saxophone and baritone saxophone, trombone, acoustic bass, bass cabinets, and small kick drums.
The D4 is used for stage, studio, and broadcast applications. Designed with a Hyper cardioid pickup pattern for isolation and feedback control, the D4 is equipped with a VCM diaphragm for natural, accurate sound reproduction. The D4 is lightweight, compact, and easy to position. The D4 is manufactured with a precision machined aluminum body, Black anodized finish, laser etched model and serial number, steel mesh grill, switch craft XLR connector and is supplied with a tension-fit heavy-duty nylon microphone clip. Transformerless design, low impedance, and balanced output allow for interference-free performance; even with long cable runs. The D4 is lightweight, compact, and easy to position. Used for stage, studio, and broadcast applications, the D4 dynamic instrument microphone is designed with a hypercardioid pickup pattern for isolation and feedback control. The D4 hypercardioid is also equipped with a VLM™ diaphragm for natural accurate sound reproduction.
